The Color Revolution: The Disney Studio, Du Pont and Faber Birren – Kirsten Moana Thompson

Last year, we explored Agfacolor animation in Europe; this year, we are excited that Prof. Kirsten Moana Thompson is going to share her research on the very animation ink and paint and Technicolor dyes “that started it all” in terms of full color animated films in Hollywood, in her paper “The Color Revolution: The Disney Studio, Du Pont and Faber Birren” at our conference! Meanwhile, here’s the Timeline of Historical Film Color’s gallery of one of Disney’s first Technicolor Silly Symphonies, as preserved at EYE.
